Science Sub-Team

The Science Subteam is responsible for the design and implementation of in-situ sample collection, processing, and life detection equipment. Sample collection consists of a lift platform carrying a modular co-axial combined scoop and mixing chamber along with an auger-based sample caching system. Regolith-buffer mixture is then pumped into a centrifuge to react with fluorometric assays, be separated, then tested with a custom fluorometer.
