Drive Subteam

The Drive Subteam designs and assembles the rover’s chassis, suspension, and propulsion systems. The sheet-metal chassis is designed to efficiently integrate custom PCBs for rover control, modular science and arm payloads, and the rocker suspension system, while effectively absorbing impact loads and protecting electronics from external environments. Custom 3D-printed wheels and a four-wheel swerve system allow for seamless steering and traversal over a variety of terrain types and obstacles.
